Eight displaced after flames and smoke destroy duplex in North Carolina, officials say

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — A fire early Saturday morning has left eight people without a home in Chapel Hill.

According to the Chapel Hill Fire Department, firefighters were called around 6:10 a.m. to a structure fire near the corner of Old University Road and Weaver Dairy Road.
