7A South Semifinals: Alma Bryant, Davidson, and Fairhope advance to South Regional Final

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WALA) – Alma Bryant girls, Davidson boys, and both Fairhope squads advanced to the 7A South Regional Final after winning their respective semifinal matchups at Garrett Coliseum Friday in Montgomery.

Alma Bryant 57, Daphne 47 (Girls)

Alma Bryant trailed after the first quarter but outscored Daphne 21-9 in the second to take control heading into halftime. The Hurricanes built on that lead in the fourth quarter, using physicality and rebounding to pull away.

The Grayson twins led Alma Bryant offensively with 42 points combined. Destiny Dixon controlled the paint with a rebounding performance that helped the Hurricanes create separation late.

Daphne kept the game close early but struggled to find consistency down the stretch, and Alma Bryant advanced to the South Regional Final.

Davidson 64, Daphne 50 (Boys)

Davidson and Daphne were tied at 17 after the first quarter before the Warriors began to take control in the second half. Davidson held Daphne to just eight points in the third quarter, using defensive pressure and balanced scoring to build separation…
