Man arrested after robbery on Broadway leaves man hospitalized

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Early Saturday morning, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were called to 9th Avenue North and Broadway for reports of a robbery that left a man unconscious and bleeding heavily from his head, according to an arrest affidavit.

Two witnesses told police a man, later identified as Shaquille Bowen, came up to the victim and confronted him before striking the victim repeatedly in the head, knocking him to the ground and continuing until he was unconscious, the affidavit said.

Two nearby witnesses told police they saw Bowen rifling through the man’s pockets before fleeing toward Commerce Street…
