Bucs Battle in Pensacola but Fall in Hard-Fought GSC Series

Pensacola, FL- Christian Brothers opened the Gulf South Conference series in Pensacola battling defensively and on the mound, but couldn’t get the offense going in a 4-0 loss.

Emily Schooler kept the Bucs in the game early, working through traffic and limiting big innings despite seven hits allowed across six innings. The defense made several plays behind her to keep the Argonauts from breaking it open.

CBU scattered four hits on the day. Marin Beeson, McKenzie Shinabery, Kate Candies and Ashley Williamson each recorded hits, and Shinabery even swiped a base to spark momentum. However, timely hitting never arrived, as the Bucs were unable to push a runner across the plate…
