SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — An unusual rescue took place on San Ysidro on Saturday after a person inside a trash bin was dumped into garbage truck.
According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, it happened around 8 a.m. near the El Super grocery store on San Ysidro boulevard.
Fire officials say crews operating the trash collection truck picked up the bin as usual, not realizing someone was inside. The trash and the individual were dumped straight into the truck.
