VENICE — Temporary repairs to Humphris Park before the South Jetty is reconstructed would be a “high cost/high risk project,” according to a staff report that will be presented to the City Council on Tuesday.
The Venice City Council had asked staff to look into options for reopening the park pending the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers undertaking a rebuild of the North and South jetties and bulkheads, a project expected to take up to five years and for which there’s currently no funding.
