Albuquerque, NM – A quiet stretch of weather is expected across most of New Mexico this week, but eastern parts of the state face elevated fire danger Tuesday and Wednesday as strong winds and warm temperatures move in.
According to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, gusty southwest winds combined with very dry air will create critical fire weather conditions across eastern New Mexico, including areas near Las Vegas, Tucumcari, Santa Rosa, Clovis and Fort Sumner.
