FLAT ROCK, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Flat Rock Playhouse has built a national reputation as one of the country’s last true producing theaters, creating each of its productions from the ground up with artists and craftspeople who travel from across the United States to work in Western North Carolina.
Unlike touring venues, every show at the Playhouse is developed specifically for its Flat Rock stages, with sets, costumes, lighting, sound and props designed and constructed in-house. The approach allows each production to be uniquely tailored to the local community and its audiences.
The Playhouse presents an 11-month season that includes Broadway-style musicals, comedies, dramas, family productions, concerts and special events.
