CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — One80 Place is launching a training program for organizations using a curriculum developed from conversations with young people who have experienced homelessness.
The Capacity Building Initiative uses feedback from One80 Place’s youth action board, made up of people ages 18 to 24 who are currently or were formerly homeless. The group meets regularly to share experiences, challenges and solutions that helped them.
The first cohort includes Charleston Public Library, The Formation Project and Young Moms Together. Each organization is sending three people: a current leader, an emerging leader and a board member.
