Police Pursuit Ends in City of Dunkirk with Arrest of Forestville Man

A Forestville man is facing a bevy of charges stemming from a police pursuit that began in the Town of Sheridan just after midnight Sunday. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Trevon Gallagher refused to comply with a traffic stop and continued to drive at a slow speed into the City of Dunkirk, where he then allegedly tried to evade deputies and Dunkirk Police by driving erratically. Deputies say the vehicle eventually came to rest, and Gallagher was taken into custody without further incident. Further investigation found that he was allegedly intoxicated.
