Rural Piedmont Triad counties to receive share of $5.9M in state infrastructure grants

NORTH CAROLINA, USA — State officials say rural counties including Forsyth County, Halifax County, Surry County, and Wilkes County will benefit from a share of nearly $5.9 million in infrastructure grants approved to boost jobs, business expansion and private investment across North Carolina.

Josh Stein announced the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority approved 12 grant requests totaling $5,876,853. The projects are tied to 277 jobs, including 71 previously announced, and are expected to attract more than $43 million in combined public and private investment.
