Man accused of killing Campbell Clinic doctor case reset to Thursday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man accused of shooting and killing a doctor in an exam room back in 2023 is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Thursday.

Pickens was initially set to appear in court Monday morning; however, his case was reset to Thursday, February 26.

Larry Pickens, 29, is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in Dr. Benjamin Mauck’s death. His bond is set at $2,400,000.

Pickens was Dr. Mauck’s patient and was seeing the doctor at the Campbell Clinic in Collierville when he allegedly pulled a gun and shot Mauck three times, killing him.
