First Alert Weather: Tracking snow showers and more wintry temps ahead

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – While the big blizzard that buries New York City and Boston misses us to the east we will see some wind and snow showers here in Western New York. Light snow Monday will bring a coating to an inch into the afternoon with temps around 30 degrees and a gusty north wind kicking up. Colder air will arrive tonight as readings drop to around 10 degrees Tuesday morning with local lake flakes bringing an inch or two. Cold weather Tuesday with nothing more than a few snow showers into the evening. Tuesday night a clipper system will move through with a round of snow bringing a couple inches overnight. The snow should clear before the morning commute Wednesday. Watching another system for Thursday that may bring some snow or a wintry mix or may miss our region to the south. Briefly milder next weekend before some colder weather moves back in for the start of March. At this time no big winter storms but light lake flakes and snow showers will be around at times. Stay tuned…..
