Power outages hit hundreds of thousands of customers across Massachusetts as the blizzard of 2026 swept through Monday.
According to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), more than 280,000 homes and businesses had no electricity as of 1 p.m. Outages peaked at 287,000. At one point, the agency’s website crashed with the rise in demand for power outage information.
