DES MOINES, Iowa — We began Saturday with a fair amount of snow remaining on the ground in many parts of the state, and very chilly temperatures. The cold sticks around a couple more days, as the weather timeline below shows.
We have two cold mornings ahead. Sunday’s lows are above, and wind chills will dip below zero then and also on Monday morning. Sunday will be breezy, with gusts near 30mph.
We finally get back to the forties starting Tuesday. A cold front and upper-level disturbances will bring us a chance of rain changing to snow Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, as the European computer model shows above. We’ll continue to monitor this.
