Jackson State Men’s Golf Returns at 2026 Gulf Coast Collegiate

Jackson State men’s golf is back in action after a break since mid-November. The team tees off Monday morning at the 2026 Gulf Coast Collegiate, hosted by the University of New Orleans at English Turn Golf and Country Club.

The tournament includes 15 teams, such as Belmont, Tennessee Tech, New Orleans, Murray State, Loyola-Chicago, Southeastern Louisiana, Nicholls, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Augusta, St. John’s, Central Arkansas, Bellarmine, Southern Indiana, and Jackson State. Jackson State players will begin play from the 14th to the 17th holes, with several Tigers paired with competitors from Eastern Illinois and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The English Turn course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, featuring a par-72 layout stretching 7,297 yards. Known for its scenic lagoons, mature oaks, and challenging features, the course offers a unique test for golfers of all skill levels. Its design includes sweeping fairways, sculpted mounds, bunkers, and meandering waterways, with a notable 15th island green and historically difficult 18th hole, once ranked the toughest on tour during the PGA Tour’s tenure at the course…
