ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Phil, who is originally from the Metro East, sheltered in place Sunday in his adopted home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The action follows the killing of Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation drug cartel.
The man, who asked to be identified only as Phil for safety reasons, said cartel members began hijacking vehicles — including buses and cars — setting them in roadways and lighting them on fire. He said apparent cartel-related activity started in the area early Sunday morning, with food and supply businesses being targeted.
