Before it was abandoned, 3624 E. Mulberry St. was a tidy, well-kept brick farmhouse outside of Fort Collins.
Over the past few decades, however, it fell into disrepair. Its once-crisp paint peeled. Its windows were broken out and boarded up, and most of its outbuildings were removed, vandalized or burned by arsonists.
At the same time, its once-quiet state highway got busier as Fort Collins grew. Thousands of drivers speed by it daily on their way to and from the city. Now, their view may be changing…
