Judge fears man who claims he accidentally shot pre-K teacher will harm himself, denies bond

A Calera man charged in the shooting death of his 23-year-old girlfriend claims he accidentally killed her when he unholstered his gun to put the weapon on the nightstand.

Noah Reed Hendricks is charged with murder in the Feb. 12 shooting death of Jennifer Tori Talley, a beloved pre-K teacher. The couple had lived together for at least a year.
