Leaders from the cities of Trussville, Mountain Brook and Homewood, alongside Jefferson County officials, announced a significant federal and state investment Tuesday aimed at advancing long-planned regional infrastructure improvements across eastern Jefferson County.
The projects include the expansion of Deerfoot Parkway in Trussville and key safety and connectivity upgrades to the Hollywood Boulevard bridge over Highway 280, which links Homewood, Mountain Brook and Birmingham. Planned improvements also feature the installation of a new traffic signal and enhanced pedestrian access along the bridge corridor.
