Suspicious donation at Northern Kentucky thrift store leads to evacuation

ERLANGER, Ky. (WKRC) – An unusual donation at the Erlanger St. Vincent de Paul led to the bomb squad being called in.

An item resembling an artillery shell was found among the donations Monday morning, according to Erlanger Police. Employees say it was left in an outdoor donation bin on Sunday, so they don’t know who left it.

They called police who advised the 15 or so employees and volunteers to evacuate. The store wasn’t open yet so no customers were inside…
