Fort Campbell Unveils $13.6 Million Renovation Of Child Development Center

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District has completed a $13.6 million renovation of Child Development Center 30-71 at Fort Campbell, delivering a modernized facility designed to better serve military families.

Construction on the project began in May 2024 and wrapped up in December, according to officials.

The overhaul included a full interior redesign, along with new lighting, flooring and plumbing systems. Crews also installed a high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning system aimed at improving energy performance and indoor comfort.

Safety improvements were a key component of the renovation. Upgrades include an improved fire alarm system and enhanced force protection measures intended to strengthen security at the facility.
