Winter cold grips the Valley to start workweek

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Colder air will continue to pour in Monday and Monday night, but the air will be very dry and clear. Starting Tuesday afternoon, a warming trend begins. It gets much milder mid to late week. We’ll watch rain chances late in the workweek.

Sunny, chilly and blustery on this Monday. It will feel like the 20s and 30s throughout the day despite the sun. While it won’t be as windy as Sunday, gusts of 25 mph are still expected. Highs reach the low to mid 40s in our northern areas with mid to upper 40s elsewhere. This will be the coldest day of the foreseeable future.

Clear and quite cold Monday night. A bit of a breeze. The coldest spots should plan on a hard freeze with low 20s early Tuesday while areas near the cities will be in the mid 20s. The coldest spots should protect the pipes just in case…
