DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Some Ohio villages could face dissolution after the decennial census in 2030, due to House Bill 331 that went into effect last year.
In the Village of Covington, local leaders are working to figure out if this could happen to them.
Approximately 2,500 people call the village nestled in northwest Miami County home. Covington is a quaint village with businesses, families and promise.

“There’s no lack of people that come through town every day and frequent our businesses,” said Covington Mayor Lee Harmon. “We have an industrial base here that’s very vibrant.”
