A true legend in West Michigan news, Susan Shaw, has announced that she will be retiring from WOOD-TV8 after over three decades at the station.

Susan Shaw’s Long Career in West Michigan

Susan Shaw landed her very first job reporting the news, working for 9&10 News based out of Cadillac, Michigan. She then worked at various stations in Michigan and North Carolina before returning home to Michigan.

Susan (Sue to her friends and coworkers) began her career at WOOD-TV8 in October 1994. She’s covered a lot of news in her years with WOOD-TV8, including live coverage of the 2011 Rodrick Dantzler shooting rampage and the death and funeral of President Gerald R. Ford.
