THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A commercial building in Thomasville was destroyed in a fire late Saturday night after a caller reported hearing an explosion and seeing the structure in flames, according to Thomasville Fire & Rescue.
Crews were dispatched at about 11:38 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of Payne Road for a reported commercial structure fire. A 911 caller told dispatchers they heard an explosion and observed a building on fire.
