Quickwater Coffee Roasters is opening its third location at the upcoming Verdant apartments on Bridge Street, the second time in two years the coffee company has partnered with developer Ryan Talbot to open a cafe in one of his apartment buildings.
Verdant, a 117,000-square-foot, five-story apartment building, broke ground last year on the site of the former Duthler’s Family Foods grocery store at 648 Bridge St. NW. The developer expects to open the $32 million project in July.
Quickwater’s new coffee shop will take up about 500 square feet of the building’s ground floor for an ordering counter and kitchen, serving coffee, pastries and seasonal drinks. The cafe will open directly onto the apartment lobby, which will serve as its seating area…
