Victim of Frayser shooting identified; police seek information

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man killed after a Frayser shooting last year was identified on Monday by Memphis Police.

On February 23, police said they released photos of the victim, 41-year-old Alvin Slaughter, because they believe there is information to help move the case forward.

Officers said on January 22, 2025, they responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of Signal Street, but it actually occurred at Windy Avenue and Time Street.

Police said last year that the suspect ran away in an unknown direction.
