A Lakeside Landings man was arrested after a brawl with his girlfriend over his suspicion that she had been cheating on him.
Officers were called Sunday night to the development in Oxford where 36-year-old Joshua Alonzo Stephens was taken into custody on a charge of battery, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
Stephens, his girlfriend and their five-year-old child had returned home from a day trip. They were still in a black GMC Yukon in the driveway when an argument broke out over infidelity. The argument soon turned violent.
When police arrived on the scene, they found that the girlfriend had suffered an “obvious injury to her face.” It was swollen and she was “crying profusely.”…
