Bob Hall Pier Roars Back To Life On The Corpus Christi Coast

After years of staring at a storm-battered stump instead of a full boardwalk, Corpus Christi regulars are finally getting their pier back. Bob Hall Pier, the signature fishing spot at Padre Balli Park on North Padre Island, is set to reopen to the public on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. The pier has been shut down since Hurricane Hanna ripped away the T-head in July 2020 and has now been rebuilt for both walkers and anglers. Officials say the new structure will be free to use for the first 90 days before modest admission and pole fees return. County leaders frame the $28.5 million rebuild as a long-awaited revival of a local landmark and a fresh boost for tourism across the Coastal Bend.
