BATON ROUGE — A traffic stop in Baton Rouge led police to a drug bust and arrest. On Feb. 20, a Baton Rouge Police officer stopped a car for a red light violation at the intersection of Scenic and Harding.
When the officer approached the driver, he says he saw a cloud of smoke roll out of the vehicle that had a strong smell of marijuana, according to BRPD.
The officer conducted an interview and investigation. During those, he allegedly found and seized:
- Marijuana
- Firearms
- Adderall
- Paraphernalia for street level sales and distribution
- Cash
BRPD officers arrested 32-year-old Terrance Richardson, and he is charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, illegal carrying of firearms with CDS, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disobeying traffic controls.
