As Mandy Bruns-Apolzan, her husband and her 17-year-old son approached the airport Sunday morning in Puerto Vallarta to leave Mexico and head home to Baton Rouge, they saw thick black smoke rising in the distance.
It was a bus engulfed in flames. It was one of many.
