Bill would require 3 East Baton Rouge Parish agencies to send bank statements to auditor monthly

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Louisiana bill proposes that three East Baton Rouge Parish agencies send bank statements to the legislative auditor each month.

House Bill 204, authored by State Rep. Dixon McMakin (R-Baton Rouge), proposes amendments that the East Baton Rouge parks and recreation agency, known as BREC, and the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) submit bank statements by the last day of each month. Both agencies are already required to comply with the legislative auditor.
