EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two men have been convicted and sentenced for their roles in a January 2025 human smuggling attempt that left one undocumented migrant dead, the El Paso Sector Border Patrol said on Social media.
The men were members of the La Empresa gang and were foot guides, El Paso Sector Border Patrol said.
One man was sentenced to nearly four years in prison (45 months), and the other man was sentenced to three years (36 months).
Both will get 3 years of supervised probation and both will pay nearly $10,000 in restitution, Border Patrol said in their social media posts…
