Democratic Senate candidate and Texas House of Representatives member James Talarico arrived in Lubbock for his campaign tour Sunday afternoon at the Historical Watson Building.
Talarico, an eighth generation Texan, former middle school teacher and Presbyterian seminarian, is currently campaigning for a seat in the U.S. Senate, according to the politician’s official website. The 36-year-old politician has worked in the Texas legislature prior to running for Senate and hopes to “take power back for the working people” once elected as senator, he said.
“Love may be the most powerful word in the English language. It’s certainly the most important word in all of our lives,” Talarico said. “Yet, we rarely hear it spoken in our politics.”…
