A former Appleton police lieutenant died as a result of a fire in Appleton Feb. 18, the police department announced Feb. 23.
Ronnie C. McIntire, 86, was identified as the victim of a house fire at the 3000 block of North Meade Street.
McIntire called 911 about a fire in the kitchen around 5:20 p.m. Feb. 18. Firefighters rescued him from the home and he was treated on scene before being transferred to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, the police department said…
