Lena senior wrestler aims to make history at state

LENA (WLUK) — In 2022, Oconto Falls wrestler Clayton Whiting pulled off one of the rarest feats in high school sports: four state titles in four years. Four years later, his sister Taylor aims to do the same thing.

“They may be the first brother-sister combo in the country to win four each which I think speaks volumes for their family and their legacy, if you will, in the sport of wrestling,” said head wrestling coach Chad Misco.

After winning three straight sectional matchups, Whiting now finds herself 62-1 in her high school career, ranked No. 1 in the country in the 114-pound weight class, and is on the verge of taking home her fourth consecutive WIAA state championship…
