STILLWATER – Jean Bull had longed to be a mother. When doctors said she would never get pregnant because of her multiple sclerosis, Bull adopted her son, Thomas, when he was an infant. When her younger son, Kenneth, was born with birth defects and her husband divorced her, she raised the two boys on her own.
So when Thomas brought a teenage Kyle Bliss into their lives, it was natural for her to take him in as well.
Years later, Thomas, as well as police and prosecutors in Saratoga County say Bliss is responsible for the 67-year-old Stillwater woman’s death. The 37-year-old home health aide was arrested on first-degree manslaughter and other charges in November in Bisbee, Ariz., just over a year after Bull died in the hospital…
