Student arrested for threat at Myers Middle School
A 12-year-old student was arrested after making threats of violence toward Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School in Albany. The threat was sent through Snapchat on Saturday, February 21, 2026, warning of a possible shooting on Monday, February 23, 2026. Police checked the school that evening and confirmed it was safe.
After investigating, the Albany Police Department identified and arrested the student.
