Timeline: Suspended Asheville police officer had multiple domestic-related calls

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Asheville Police Department has confirmed that one of its recently sworn-in officers is on investigative suspension after he allegedly assaulted a woman.

The agency also confirmed to News 13 that the officer, Paul Anthony Duvernay III, has had three calls involving domestic fights with women since he was hired last June. APD confirmed that its high-ranking officials were aware of the calls and that an internal investigation had been opened.
