More people experiencing homelessness for the first time in Mecklenburg County, report says

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – You never know if your neighbor or friend could be living in a homeless shelter. That’s the message Monday night from shelter and Mecklenburg County leaders.

The county’s Housing and Homeless report was released last week, and it showed an increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness for the first time has gone up in the past year.
