Community mourns loss of Fort Wayne mother and activist

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Devoted mother and local activist, Stacey Davis, passed away on Monday night.

The announcement of Davis’ death was posted to the Justice, Accountability, and Victim Advocacy (JAVA) Facebook page, an organization co-founded by Davis.

Before stepping into her role as a local activist, Davis was a devoted mother to her son, Codi McCann. Codi tragically passed away in 2016 when he was shot and killed behind the East State Bar & Grill, changing his mother’s life forever.

Overwhelmed with grief, Davis poured herself into co-founding JAVA, a group dedicated to advocating for crime victims and their loved ones, offering support, resources, and a shoulder to cry on…
