Central Pa. teen turns high school heartbreak into successful music career

A bad breakup and dealing with fake friends are an unfortunate part of most high school experiences, but one central Pennsylvania teen turned her troubles into three award nominations and a future music career.

Julia Denne, 19, a graduate of Central Dauphin High School, says she has always had a musical bone or two in her body.

“I’ve been singing for forever,” Denne said. “But I started writing music when I was 14 during COVID as just a way of getting my emotions out there.”…
