LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Lexington man was found guilty on Friday after his dog was seen clinging to the roof of a moving truck last fall.

In October 2025, Lexington Animal Care and Control officers said that his dog was on top of the truck while he was driving at a high rate of speed in the rain on New Circle Road near Frankfort Pike.
Officials said that Ellington admitted that he knew the dog would anxiously jump onto the side rails, the toolbox, and even on top of the cab while the truck was moving, creating a risk of serious injury to the dog and a danger to other drivers.
