Maryland Winter Weather Alert: 3 to 5 Inches, 45 MPH Gusts Until 10 AM Wednesday

Oakland, Maryland – Roads across far Western Maryland could turn snow-covered by 10 p.m. Tuesday as 3 to 5 inches of accumulating snow and wind gusts up to 45 mph move into the higher elevations, threatening the Wednesday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday for Garrett County in Maryland, Western Highland County in Virginia, and Western Grant and Western Pendleton counties in West Virginia.
