TOLEDO, Ohio — The victim in a south Toledo carjacking last week has died of injuries incurred in the initial incident, the victim’s family said.
Donald Russell’s granddaughter told WTOL 11 Russell died Monday night. Russell was the victim of a carjacking at the Greyhound station on Emerald Avenue in south Toledo on Thursday. According to a Toledo police report, a 67-year-old was in his vehicle when a suspect, later identified as a 38-year-old from West Virginia, tried to force him out of his vehicle. The suspect stole the vehicle, dragging the victim for approximately a half mile to 734 S. Erie St.
