Before owning and operating a Zoom Room franchise – an innovative indoor dog training concept – in Richmond, VA, Shemeck Piatek grew up in Poland, where his parents ran both a hair salon and a currency exchange shop. When they immigrated to the U.S., teenage Shemeck was inspired to pursue his own entrepreneurial journey.
He built a strong career in sales and business management in New York City, spending nearly 15 years at Microsoft and Best Buy, before he and his wife, Mel, decided it was time for a career pivot. After moving their family to Richmond, they found the perfect opportunity to combine their business savvy with their love of dogs by opening a Zoom Room gym in 2022 focused on training, socialization, and building community connection.
