West Branch, Iowa — An Iowa nursing home employee accused of stealing opioid pain medication from residents has agreed to surrender her nursing license following a criminal case and disciplinary action by state regulators.
According to the Iowa Board of Nursing, Tanya Lynn Jordan worked at Crestview Specialty Care in West Branch from February through April 2024. Regulators allege she signed out opioid medications, including hydrocodone, for patients but kept the drugs for herself while falsely documenting that they had been administered.
Jordan was initially charged with felony prohibited acts involving controlled substances and tampering with records. She later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor records charge and was sentenced to 10 days in jail and two years of probation…
