INDIANOLA, Iowa — Highway 92 starts in Council Bluffs and travels across the southern third of Iowa to reach Muscatine at the Mississippi River. A section of that highway from Winterset to Indianola is getting renamed to honor a special Iowan.
Last Tuesday, the Indianola City Council adopted a resolution to designate Highway 92 as the George Washington Carver Memorial Highway.
