MASCHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — When she was at Harlem High School, Misty Beaver was one of the best high school softball pitchers in Illinois. She led the Harlem Huskies to an IHSA State runner-up finish.
Her latest achievement was being inducted into the Seton Hall University Hall of Fame in New Jersey. The induction ceremony was held this past weekend. In 1999 Beaver became the first Seton Hall softball pitcher to win 20 games in a season. In 2001, she became the first pitcher in Seton Hall history to pitch a 7-inning perfect game.
When her career at Seton Hall was finished, she left with the most wins (54) in school history, and the most strikeouts in school history (624). She finished with the third lowest ERA (1.75) in school history…
